    Description

    Atlantic White Flash.  A Superior Motor Fuel.  Advertising cover from 1937.
    This came from a service station that has been closed since 1966, it operated from the late 1920's until that year.  I have a lot of 1930's paper, just obtained from the grandson of the original owner.  Watch my other auctions and Ebay store.
    Enclosures include two invoices (with prices cut from them for some reason) and a letter concerning the "best conceived radio program which this or any other oil company has ever attempted. During the coming football season we will broadcast play by play 163 football games the minute they take place out on the gridiron, using the facilities of 68 different broadcast stations... there will be comments on the game by the leading football authorities in the Eastern United States."  It sounds like this was the first use ever of a "color commentator" for a sports event.  The letter is VG condition with normal mailing creases and an extra crease at top, a little soiling.  The invoices have rough right side edges and mailing creases.  The advertising envelope is FAIR condition with soiling, opened a bit rough at right, some pencil writing.    I use a poor/fair/good/very good/excellent/mint grading system and grade very conservatively (see my feedback). This does NOT necessarily correspond to the generic Ebay grading system that we are forced to use. Shipping is .50 in the U.S.
