Isolated RS-232 adapter
- Drivers specified for 250kbps max, actual speed will depend on devices connected
- 3/3 active channels
- 2.5kV peak surge capability, 3.1mm creepage min. (4.2mm on PCB)
- Originally designed to be used with HP/Agilent laboratory equipment
- Internal signal crossover, should be used with straight-through DB9-DB9 cable (NOT null-modem cable)
- 2 x DB9 female connectors in the adapter
- Signal connection can be seen from the picture above
- Shields are also isolated from each other
- Input impedance higher than normal, lower loading to other devices connected
- Made in Finland quality product
Very sophisticated design including switched-mode power harvesting from signals only.
Should operate also on most low power or battery operated equipment.
Because of many different style RS-232 equipment on the market 100% operation can't be quaranteed on all devices.
