VTG & RARE BOY SCOUT TROOP FLAG FROM BOSTON SYNAGOGUE◾TEMPLE KADIMA BRIGHTON MA..
It's not all that often a Boy Scout troop flag/Jamboree banner emanates from a synagogue, which of course means the young lads are, or were in this case, of the Jewish faith. I see many flags such as this on these pages but this is as yet the only one I have noted that has "Temple" sewn on, setting it apart. I'm reasonably sure others have surfaced, but not in abundance..
It's in decent condition for its age but there are small holes in virtually any area, might be old moth damage; it is made of wool. See the pics of that. The banner says measurements are 3' x 5' but it is actually an inch or so less each way. It's got the "old attic smell" to it, straight from the synagouge upper floor storage room! Authentic as can be in that regard! See the pics they help tell the story.
